Christophe Berdos was a full-time professional referee. He started refereeing in 1988. He was a member of Armagnac Bigorre referee's society, and then moved to Ile-de-France. His first international was at the U21 World Championship in Argentina in 2005. Since then, he's refereed international games across the globe, including the second Lions' test match in South Africa in 2009. Under French rules, once a referee turns 45 years old, he can no longer officiate at the top level."
